The University of Washington Children's Center at West Campus
Welcome to the University of Washington Children's Center at West Campus
THe University of Washington Children's Center at West Campus is a busy and exciting learning environment designed to meet the needs of Infant, Toddler and Preschool age children. We believe children learn and grow best in an environment that is warm, nurturing and supportive of individual needs. Your child will be encouraged to explore a wide variety of age-appropriate, hands-on activies, all at his or her own pace.

Our teachers are sensitive and respectful of a child's individuality and encourage each child to develop a joyful confidence with which to explore our constantly changing world.

Our relationship with the University of Washington promotes a multi-cultural community of families. We are committed to supporting and celebrating diversity in all areas of our early childhood programs.

Our philosophy is based on Maria Montessori's principals for early care and education. (Click here for a brief biography on Maria Montessori.)

Administered by Haggard Nelson Childcare Resources, we are one of three University of Washington Children Centers: West Campus, Radford Court and Laurel Village, caring for University families and children. If you are searching for a caring, well-run center for your child, we encourage you to peruse our site and read about our waitlist process.

The University of Washington Children's Center at West Campus is a part of the
Haggard Nelson Childcare Resources family of Children's Centers. Haggard Nelson Childcare Resources is a private company operating under contract with the University of Washington to provide childcare to University students, faculty and staff.
